BILLY DAVIES SACKED - REPLACED WITH STEVE MCCLAREN?

Despite his apparent successes at the City Ground, Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Billy Davies.

Early reports suggest Steve McClaren is to replace him.

Billy was on a one year rolling contract and the club have chosen not to renew it for the forthcoming season. Whether or not this can be deemed a sacking is arguable but the end result is the same. Steve McClaren is to take charge of Nottingham Forest. Hopefully a new manger means he will be allotted more transfer funding.
