In a worrying interview with BBC Nottingham, Billy Davies has revealed that James Perch was sold without his prior knowledge.
The outspoken manager claims that he only heard of the deal when receiving a phone call from Mark Arthur informing him that the deal had been done.
Could this be the catalyst in causing major disharmony at The City Ground. Fans are already starting to question the club's commitment as they have thus far failed to make any summer signings. These worries were only exasperated by the injuries to Dele Adebola and David McGoldrick, as well as the sale of Perch.
Davies also seemed to confirm that there has been a lack of activity in the transfer market. he told BBC Nottingham "In this business you deal with speculation. All I can do is sit and wait, see what happens and do the best I can with what I have."
He also did not rule out the possibility of leaving The City Ground.
"I'm no different from any other manager. If another club agrees terms with Nottingham Forest then there is not a single club in Europe that I would not consider."
