According to SKY SPORTS, we are keeping tabs on the USA international along with several other clubs.

Beasley will of course be a familiar name to anyone that followed England's progress in South Africa this summer. The USA international featured heavily in his nation's World Cup campaign and represented his country against England in a match which saw Robert Green fumble Clint Dempsey's limp shot into the back of his own net.

DaMarcus is a free agent having been released by Rangers and whilst it is far from certain that Forest will make an offer, we at TRENTSIDE believe he would be a strong addition to the squad. Of course, the presence of Blackpool in the race for his signature could provide an obstacle. Having defeated Forest in the play-off semi finals last season, the Seasiders went on to claim their place in the Premiership. Could the lure of top flight football prove to be too much for DaMarcus Beasley to resist?

So who is DaMarcus Beasley? A stalwart of the American national "soccer" team, he began his career at the prestigious IMG Soccer Academy in the states before signing in 1999 for David Beckham's current club, Los Angeles Galaxy. He did not however start a game there and it wasn't until he signed for fellow MLS side Chicago Fire that he made his professional debut. 

His stint at Fire proved successful and he impressed enough to make a move into the more lucrative European football market. signing with PSV in 2004, he also had a stint on loan at Manchester City before moving to Rangers, his last club, in 2007. Having been released in summer 2010, the hunt is on for his signature!
