Bolton to offer FIVE MILLION for Chris Cohen

According to early media reports, Bolton are preparing to put in a five million bid to secure the services of Chris Cohen, realising that a derisory bid for a key player would not be acceptable. The 23 year-old midfielder was the subject of a Bolton enquiry during the January transfer window and manager Owen Coyle is apparently keen to bring his services to the Reebok Stadium.

We are of the opinion that leaving for Bolton would be detrimental to Cohen's career. Bolton are a club that aimlessly hovers above the relegation zone in the Premiership whilst employing the kind of long ball tactic which is completely at odds with the type of player he is.

At least at whilst in the Championship he is at a club with something to play for. Still, it's a decent offer and could fund the signing of multiple players this summer.
