Recent speculation had maintained that Norweigan defender Joakin Vage Nilsen would be joining Nottingham Forest in a bid to close up the defensive holes that were widely exploited at the back end of the 2009/10 campaign.
Unfortunately it seems the Norwegian will not be joining Nottingham Forest on loan and that the reports were works of fiction. Despite being entirely unfounded, reports had become persistent enough that his agent was forced to quash them in the local press.
"I have not received any approach from Nottingham Forest. But I shall, for the sake of clarity, check whether there is something in the rumours, "said Stig Lillejord to Haugesund Avis, a Norweigan newspaper.
"I know that Joakim, for the past six months, has been followed closely by several foreign clubs at a higher level than the English Championship. Joakim is extremely sought after. One of the most attractive players in Norwegian football.
A club in the English second tier is not the way to go for Joakim."
