Milner Deal Down To The Wire

If James Milner is to wear a light blue shirt at Spurs tomorrow a deal has to be done before midday today. Steven Ireland [or his agent] is the stumbling block with a £2m demand to move to Villa - you'd think he'd walk here barefoot just for the opportunity.

Man City are understandably reluctant to part with the cash for as player who is surplus to requirements.

So it's a question of brinkmanship. My guess is that no deal will be done today but Milner won't be included in tomorrow's Villa squad.
