End in Sight?

Robert Duverne

It is strongly suggested that we will have the management team of Houlier, Robert Duverne and Gary MacAlister in place by Monday - and boy do we need it.

It was always going to take time to replace a manager of MoN's stature  but 36 days does seem a trifle excessive. And it has to be sdaid that we have very much put our season on the backfoot during that time.

Seven weeks ago we were brimming wit confidence with only the Milner saga to bother us.  Would you believe what damage one man leaving can do to a big club like ours.

Frankly I have  doubts about Houlier, Duverne [the man who got in to a World Cup fight with Evra] and strong minded MacAlister all getting on. At least we should have some fun and games to talk about in  the pub.

I am not sure which is sadder out of GĂ©rard Houllier being unable to last the 2010/11 season (meaning that Alex McLeish now manages Aston Villa) or it appearing that this forum has gone into 'Test mode', hence the recent lack of posts.

On the latter issue, it is still possible for people to post in this forum by adjusting the site's URL from to Hopefully my tip will now result in the site returning to its former glories.

I comprehensively wrote about this process on 12th July 2010 and 6th March 2011.
