New Signings

After being given permission to spend in the January transfer window, manager Brian Little is aiming for big things from his unknown signings. Little states that he is still not 100% sure who he is going to bring in, but ensures fans that he expects a big impression from his newcomers.

Well it's definite, Brian Little will be bringing in new faces in the upcoming transfer window, and the Rovers manager is already hoping that his signings will be a big hit with fans and club alike, and drag Tranmere out of the struggle they currently find themselves.

Speaking to local newspaper Little said : "I have a few games to go before the end of the year and hopefully the chance to get involved in the transfer market again. Bringing in one or two new faces might help us.

"But I'm open-minded about signings. Dave Philpotts (chief scout) and myself have done a lot of work in recent weeks, watching players and games. We have a dossier of names we would like to do something about, if we can.

"But what happens in our own games over the next couple of weeks is bound to influence what we do. Injuries or suspensions could dictate our needs."

Clearly Little is aiming to surprise us with some signings. Hopefully he can turn things around with a group of special signings. Currently, Tranmere find themselves 20th in the league, with teams from 19th-23rd all on 22 points, Rovers are also only three points from the bottom. And, unusually, Tranmere already find themselves without any cup actions to look forward to after being knocked out of the FA Cup in the opening round and losing out in the first round of the League Cup and recently being knocked out in the LDV Vans Trophy.
