Rovers Handed Difficult Cup Tie at Valley Parade

The draw for the first round of the FA Cup has seen Rovers handed a difficult tie away from home against fellow League One side Bradford City at Valley Parade. Rovers will be looking to go one better in the competition than last year after a first round exit away at Peterborough ended their hopes.

After another disappointing afternoon on the pitch for Rovers today, the news that the FA Cup first round draw brought to Rovers fans will have done little to improve the mood as they were drawn away at fellow League One side Bradford City.
The tie at Valley Parade will be played on Saturday 5th November where Rovers will be looking to get a good cup run going after last season’s first round exit at the hands of Peterborough.
Earlier this season, Rovers drew 2-2 at home with Bradford City and at Valley Parade last season in the league, Rovers went ahead after just 45 seconds through Iain Hume before Dean Windass earned the Bantams a point in the second half.
Ticket and travel details will be announced by the club in the next week.
