Rovers Sign O'Leary on Loan from Luton

Tranmere have today signed midfielder Steven O'Leary on a month long loan deal from Championship side Luton Town. The 20 year old is expected to go straight into the squad for tomorrow's must win game against Colchester Utd at Prenton Park.

Manager Brian Little has snapped up the opportunity offered by former Rovers assistant manager Mike Newell to take promising Luton Town midfielder Steven O'Leary on loan for a month to help ease Tranmere's midfield selection problems.
The midfielder has represented the Republic of Ireland at all levels up to the Under 20's so far and is said to have a promising future. He has yet to feature in the league for the Hatters this season but is expected to go straight into Rovers squad to face Colchester at Prenton Park on Saturday.
With Captain Jason McAteer out for up to six weeks with a knee injury, and fellow midfielder Danny Harrison recovering from surgery after a broken nose, Rovers have been left short of options in the centre of midfield.
