So the fixtures are finally here and it has been confirmed that Tranmere will begin what they hope will be a successful promotion campaign on Saturday August 6th with an away game against Swansea. This is quickly followed by Rovers first home game of the season on Tuesday 9th August against Blackpool.

Looking at the holiday periods, Rovers face Walsall at away on Boxing Day and Rotherham at home on 2nd January whilst over the Easter weekend Rovers face Nottingham Forest at home on Easter Saturday and Colchester away on Easter Monday.

Rovers’ season ends at home against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday 6th May whilst other possible fixtures that could be key ones during include home and away fixtures at Bristol City on Saturday 15th October away and Saturday 22nd April away and newly relegated Gillingham on Saturday 24th September at home and away on Saturday 11th Febuary.
