Luton: After winning League One and gaining automatic promotion to the second tier of English football, Luton only made the one signing so far in the pre-season campaign. Carlos Edwards left Wrexham to play for Luton after they offered him a three-year deal in the Championship. The Trinidad & Tobago wing back said he moved because he would be only one step away from his Premiership dream.

M.K Dons: After narrowly missing the drop into League two, M.K Dons are yet to make any signings. A few contract renewals and a bid for Wrexham's Caig Morgan is all that they can boast at the moment but I am sure that Danny Wilson knows that to retain League One status he must freshen up the squad.

Oldham: After a poor league campaign last season, Oldham are are looking to better last seasons 19th and look to the playoffs. Ronnie Moore has been very busy in trying to turn the side around by making a number of signings. Stoke's defender Gareth Owen, Grimsby defender Terrell Forbes, Blackpool midfielder Paul Edwards, Lincoln's out-of-contract midfielder Richard Butcher and midfielder Richie wellens moved to Boundary Park after a swap for Scott Vernon.

Peterborough: Posh's new manager Mark Wright has his hands tied with very little funding to try and bring Peterborough back up to League One. So far only one signing has been made and that is former Leyton Orient veteran goalkeeper Lee Harrison. With many players wanting to leave Posh Mark Wright will have to offer decent contracts or be prepared to find adaquate replacements.

Port Vale: Port Vale have only made the signing of Peterborough midfielder Danny Sonner and Bristol City midfielder Tony Dinning so far. With players signing new contracts Martin foyle could see Vale make the play-offs next term.

Sheffield Wednesday: After an extra time win to take the Owls up to the Championship not much has happened in the transfer market. Wednesday boss Paul sturrock has decided that the first thing for him to do in his bid to remain in the Championship is to keep the majority of his promotion winning squad. So currently no new signings at Hillsborough but plenty of new contracts.

Stockport: Stockport spent last season propping up League One and in League two they will hope to do the opposite. so far County have signed Rob Clare from Balckpool, Jermaine Easter from Boston and Hereford's full back Mark Robinson. With Three signings made already Turner's ambitions are clear as he tries to bring County back up.

Swindon: With no new signings and contract offers not being accepted thing are not looking bright for Swindon. With plenty of interest in Sam Parkin the Swindon board dont have the time to hunt for cheap players. Brian Howard former Town player has told fans that more players will be leaving as the contract offers are substandard. With a comfortable 12th last season Swindon could be playing in League two in a few seasons.

Torquay: Following on from relegation from League One Torquay have made just the one signing and that is Rotherham midfielder Darren Garner. Players are leaving the Gulls fast and contract talks are not going well with key players so there might not be the speedy return that is expected for the Gulls.

Tranmere Rovers: Third best team in the League and then to be knocked out of the playoffs on penalties. Tranmere seem to be in for bad luck and the transfer market is no exception . With key player Paul Hall leaving and no signings looking possible yet Tranmere dont look in shape for a repeat of last season. I am sure however that Brian Little will have the experience to bring in players capable of decent football and he will hopefully grant Tranmere some good luck.

Walsall: Paul Merson seems to be getting to grips with the transfer market and could well produce a squad to win promotion next season. With players gone who are not needed and those who are needed signed walsall could just cause an upset. As well as sorting out current contracts Walsall have signed Anthony Gerrard from everton and Coventry defender Craig Pead and they now look nicely det up for next season.

Wrexham: Wrexham would have finished outside of the drop zone with 53 points if they had not had 10 points deducted for going into administation but instead they finished in 22 and went down. Players have had to be released and no one has been signed so Wrexham appear to be stuck with a depleated side for next season. I would not put my money on Wrexham for a speedy return but do hope they can rebuild and gain promotion soon.
