Rovers Predicted For 2nd Spot Again

Promotion On Cards?

Once again Tranmere are tipped for automatic promotion by the bookies, but can they live upto their reputation? Probably last season was their best chance of promotion which ended in the misery of penalties against Hartlepool.

Once again Tranmere have been tipped for automatic promotion and it comes as a great confident booster for most Tranmere fans, who have suffered from going out in the play-offs last season.

There is no reason why Tranmere cant mount a serious promotion challenge this year and with their current squad look set to do that.

Tranmere have had some boosts in the close season with the return of Calvin Zola, who is now set to pull on the white shirt once again, and also the confidence of Brian Little over the Ryan Taylor situation, saying he is staying, which is great to every Rovers fan.

There are some surprises in the "odds table". The bookies have play-off finalists Hartlepool in ninth, a huge surprise after their amazing season. Another good priced team are Bristol City who are at great odds at 9/1. With the eventual signing of former Sunderland striker, Marcus Stewart, they look a dead cert for promotion.
