A welcome voice of confidence, Tranmere striker Iain Hume talks of how the Championship is calling for the Rovers. The top goalscorer today commented on the Championship claiming Tranmere have a spot there to claim, which they feel is right for them, and where they should be.
Tranmere Rovers top goalscorer, Iain Hume has said a statement which will be like music to every Tranmere fans ear.
Today, Iain claimed that the Championship is where the Birkenhead club belong, the player, who himself turned down a £400,000 to Preston and the chance to make a name for himself in the Championship because he wanted to get their with Tranmere, has said:
"The Championship is the main aim, for myself and the team,"
"If you ask anybody in our squad, they'll be extremely disappointed and they'd feel like they've failed themselves and the club [if they miss out on promotion].
"We were hot favourites for promotion this year. Obviously that's gone wrong but we're a big club so hopefully we can get in the Championship because that's where we belong.
"It's just a matter of proving it on the pitch."
Tranmere kick off the play-off campaign tomorrow (Friday 13th) at Victoria Park 7:45 pm, the game will be shown live on Sky, but for those fo you who don't have the facility to watch it at your house you can watch it at Aldo's.
