TRFC Man of the Match vs Guiseley (H)

Vote for you Man of the Match from this evening's 1-0 home win over Guiseley...

As Rovers remained top of the National League and also remained unbeaten following this evening's 1-0 home win over Guiseley, we are once again giving you the chance to vote for your Man of the Match from the game as our post-match poll series continues for the new season.

Rovers battled against an understandably defensive approach from the visitors and after a ridiculous offside decision denied Connor Jennings a great goal, James Norwood finally made the breakthrough five minutes before half-time by finishing superbly from Steve McNulty's high ball forward.

James Norwood was on target again as Rovers defeated Guiseley 1-0 at Prenton Park

Rovers failed to make a further breakthrough in the second half despite some decent chances but Scott Davies' goal was never threatened and Rovers saw out the game comfortably to extend their lead at the top to three points once again after Dagenham lost at Sutton United earlier in the afternoon.

To vote for your Man of the Match from the game simply vote on the poll on CLICK HERE whilst the results will be published here in the next 48 hours.

McNulty for me. Comfortable throughout and a great through ball for the goal

Not an outstanding performance by any means today . Lots of running by Norwood & Cook , but too many little flicks not being run onto . Good save from Cook in the first half and Norwood took his goal well . But , for me , even though Guiseley were not really a threat , when needed , McNulty was always there . His composure at the back , winning balls and his pass for Norwoods goal was spot on .

My first chance this season to vote for my man of the match.. mcnulty or norwood for me. Nobody shone in our midfield . Thought cook did well for opening 35/40 mins but faded in 2nd half. Norwood put in a good shift as I believe he always does and he took the goal well. Not really tested in defence but mcnulty was solid n composed and reads game well plus he played a great ball for nors goal.. mcnulty just edges norwood for me over the 90 mins.

McNulty.

He's been absolutely on fire this season. Plays like Goodison did.

McNulty for me, all round commanding performance and great vision to set up Norwoods goal. Makes fatties feel good about themselves to boot.
