Hard to choose between Norwood mcnulty and mekki I'll go for Norwood

I also went for Norwood - he was great today but agree there were other contenders too - particularly Mekki!

Only two contenders-and you have named them both in your post.They were streets ahead of the rest.

Mekki...by far the best footballer on the pitch.

Mekki for me. Norwood much improved, runs well but not enough end product for me. Maybe would be better as a striker but seems to lose composure in the box, as do most of the team to be fair

I was thinking the same as you Hoots! Seems like a pretty decent end product to me!

Norwood missed a couple of decent chances before his first goal but he had his tail up from minute one on Saturday and really wanted it.

Glad he got his goals as it will do his confidence the world of good.

As much as it wasn't a vintage performance, the team kept going and when you are struggling for results and not playing great you have to dig out that win. Which they did

For MOTM it is a close call between Norwood and Mekki. Probably go for Norwood as he scored the decisive goals

Mcnulty was a bit edgy for the first 5-10 minutes but settled into the game and played well. He just seems to bring a bit of experience to the back line

Hogan for me is not a right back and would like to think Sutton will slot in there when he gets fit again

Norwood, VERY closely followed by Mekki

Hardly anything between them on Saturday.

Nors looked like he really wanted it. That was evident even in the warm up!

There is no doubt we deserved the win, but far from convincing. Norwood gets a lot of stick which baffles me as it's obvious he has a footballing brain and has got quality. He does miss some chances but his workrate and pace are a big plus for us. Also his movement off the ball is excellent.

We are still slow in midfield, the persistence of Jennings and Harris is ridiculous, Jennings shouldn't be playing, simple as. Also think Riley should be replaced by Sutton at centre back.

All in all, a much needed win. I will wait to see if we can back this up though before getting a little belief back.

Jay Harris put in some crunching tackles on saturday. Looks to be getting back to his best.

Jenno played better but agree that he is somewhat off the pace

Still think Maynard and Harris should be the first choice midfielders

But cant be picky. A win is a win. Deserved it overall and if it takes us going back to basics and winning scrappy to get up the league table then so be it

have just viewed the guiseley game goals on you tube. my only complaint with norwood is his puffy pink coloured boots. how times have changed. in my day when I played [ I was a useless, slow centre back ] if any player had had the option of wearing pink boots and had the audacity to have actually worn them, then they probably would have had their head smashed in, lol.

Went for Norwood,also considered Scott Davies for his splendid double save.

That double save was phenomenal.

Sat directly behind the goal, we were convinced one of them would of gone in!

I agree with the above, Norwood by a fraction, Mekki and Davies very closely behind. We still need a dedicated right back and a strong winger, when is Dawson back ?

Dawson is back in training but probably a couple of weeks off first team

Fair point I was referring to his ability as a winger. Happy with him up top. We need wingers who can cross. Leave him as striker and I'm happy
