I would expect Max to replace Laird in the line up otherwise no other changes.

Think the game will be fairly close and we will win 2 1

Hope I am not getting ahead of myself here ,but this is the first time in a long while that I am going to be going to the match with a sense of optimism and anticipation. I think we have turned the corner and can start to look upwards and onwards.

I think the owners and Mickey are making sensible decisions both on and off the field and progress is being made.

We shouldn't kid ourselves that funding remains a real issue for the club but I would like to say well done to those involved for taking some difficult decisions and moving us away from the the awful scenario of non league football.

So Adams changed a winning team. Why? Koumas looked good when he came on and after last week should have started therefore keeping the team the same.

Their equaliser was criminal. A world class stop one handed from Fonners (one of several superb saves again in the game) but no one in White to snap up the rebound.

That could well be a Conference fixture next season the way things are going.

I agree, Power coming in seemed to change the balance of the team. He was a bit off it today also. Should of started Koumas, much better when he came on. Thought OJ was taken off a little early too, as he was winning every header and his goal was quality. Hartlepool seemed more fired than us, but i expected them to be, with the Ronnie saga. Not sure why we didnt match that enthusiasm (other than Holmes, who was outstanding again). Draw was a fair result and another fine performance from Fonners and Donnelly.

After last Saturday I thought it was gonna be a comfortable win, we were lazy and off the pace with no mid field to be seen and I am still trying to figure out our game plan, God knows what Micky has been working on over the past week??? Nice to see we have a drummer on loan though......

Although it pains me to say this they were the better team and they looked the team most likely to win just glad we held on for the point. S.W.A

Took my nephew to his first ever game today by half time he asked me why I put myself through this after 30 years it did get me thinking I just said no matter how bad it gets the rovers are my team I lknow kayode scored he was caught off side to often no one wanted to put a challenge in midfield was c**p only Danny had a go today some great saves from fonners even is kicking was ok

just listened to Mickey's post match reaction it was a good honest account of the game with no silly excuses

Koumas was awful last week and not much better today.Our whole attitude and performance was criminal.

Do we not know what the word 'tackle' means? The only ones who seemed to know were Holmes and Ihiekwe.The midfield[all of them] were non existent. We seemed to think that Odejayi was our only route to goal. The many offsides and silly freekicks were our fault not the officials.Hardly any balls were down the wings.

Hartlepool were first[and second and third] to almost every ball.


The management and coaching staff were like a row of dummies in the dugout particularly in the first half. They should have been screaming blue murder at the players and showing and demanding some passion. Instead they sat on their rear ends hardly moving.


Adams should have been far more critical in his post match interview. I trust he was behind closed doors.It is very worrying that he just fobbed it off with ''at least it's another point.'' Many more performances like that and we WILL go down.

Oh-Danny was awesome and OFW and Ihiekwe did well.

Just an observation in the light of comments re coaching staff.
As they came off at half time, Timmins was giving OFW a huge rollicking (he was almost puce with rage!) anyone close enough to hear what he was moaning about?

Ok not good today but...... We have moved up one place in the league, we didn't lose, jmw looked good when he came on. Minus points taylor poor, power poor and the linesman on the main stand side was an absolute joke! Its another point close to safety though and you feel that we can't play that badly again with MA in charge and some of the quality we have. Glass half full guys! SWA

2 points dropped, but a place gained, however Dagenham must not win on Tuesday or it's a place dropped and back to being out of the relegation zone on goal difference.

Tranmere need to find more of the cut and thrust shown against Accrington next time, in order to beat Exeter, because if they do they will have a great chance, but if they don't Exeter will almost certainly come out on top.

I suspect some individuals may have gotten a little carried away with their previous performances, felt like gods and coupled that with a lack of enough consideration for the opposition. Maybe against a team with 20-25 more points than Hartlepool, they may have found a way to give more of what is needed to win games, because such teams you'd have to wise up to and not take for granted, which is possibly what some players did today and if Hartlepool are a wounded animal, then wounded animals will try, if they can, to fight to survive.

I think Ronnie will feel better about his point than Micky Adams does about his and frustratingly it's three places dropped, as they could be 18th now if they'd scored one more goal, but I still feel confident that the squad can stay up and it's 15 points from the last 8 games which is promotion form over 46 games, so they need to remember that, instead of getting sulky about the kind of team they drew to and letting it affect the next 2-3 games.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

It is indeed funny. but if we all had the same opinion,it would be very boring.

Danny Holmes deservedly MOM.
Had everyone put in the same effort as Danny we would have won, unfortunately we didn't and as MA said last week - if our performance levels dip we become an average side.
Not overly worried as there were some plus points:

Odejayi starting to find the back of the net on a regular basis and took his goal with a quality finish.
Myrie Williams looked good when he came on, must start at Exeter instead of Wolves (can't spell his name, Molyneux)
Holmes outstanding, looking like the player of 2 years ago
Taylor looks promising
OFW made some vital saves again, playing better

The midfield were all non existent so you could drop any of them. I actually agree with you about Laird even though others wouldn't. Max looked like his mind was elsewhere.

Agree with all that. Danny was the star of the game, as he often is....

Midfield none existent, no movement, looked dodgy central defense, missed Laird massively. Koufax made a difference with some passes but way to little movement and few options. Need to improve attitude

Its a point and we could easily have lost today. As said before it's acquiring points over the season and I an confident. I world like to see Jase starting though

Very poor performance today, agree Danny again MOM.

Hartlepool were good today but, probably our poor overall performance helped. RM had lots of youngsters with high energy levels getting the ball forward quickly and running at people, we simply didn't cope.

So a reality check however, we gained a point moved a place up the table. Lot of work required on the training ground this week,a similar performance next week at Exeter and we will concede goals.

Also agree JMW looked good when he game on.

we were very lucky to get a point which we didn't really deserve today. Far too many players had off days Power, Molyneux, Fenelon, Donnelly amongst others.

A very disappointing and poor performance but I still have every faith MA will pull us clear of the bottom 2 in time.

It may not have been a must win game but it was definitely a should win game and from our position there are not to many of those.It is the failure to beat teams like Mansfield,hartlepool and Cheltenham that stops us pulling clear,
We may have climbed a place but rival teams where either away or playing well placed teams.
We need something from the Exeter game to compensate but it will need a vastly better showing

I was disappointed with the performance and result on Saturday and on reflection, we could have easily been beaten. I thought micky would change it at half time as it was clear we were getting overrun in the middle and I though a change to 442 was needed as we did cause them problems down the flanks. We also needed helpful the full backs who couldn't get forward as much and last week, taylors forward runs caused no end of issues. I'll take the point and move on to the next game. Strange thing about it is, I think we'll beat better teams in this division but we'll struggle against the lower teams.

The trouble with that is that you have to beat more top teams to pull away as we waste potential six pointers against rivals. The Carlisle game is a prime example. The failure to beat teams around us,especially at home makes life harder. Our home record in general is poor and does not suggest that we will beat many top teams

Really hard to understand why they were so lacklustre and static. Hope team have watched the match video which will show that Hartlepool players picked up probably 80% of loose balls. Our lads were in dreamland. Why were not they pumped up and passionate. Max clearly had his mind on other things and should have been replaced at half time. Caught off side far too often- its basic stuff that needs to be sorted. Good job Harlepool were not good enough to capitalise on our mediocrity. Another couple of performances like that and we will be in big trouble. I turned up optimistic for once and trudged away at 4.50 feeling pretty depressed.
