Tranmere Rovers host Rochdale tonight in N Power League One, so for all the latest news and match updates, and all the pre, during and post-match discussion, don't forget to check out our Match Discussion thread............
For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.
Tranmere of course host Rochdale tonight in N Power League One so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

well not a bad result afainst a good side ! clear that Kay Warner and Mc C need time,and may be Goody not fit! they will gel better

Remember Wednesday night reserves away vs st Helens town. At Ashton fc.
Point isn't good enough considering the circumstances. We tried to defend for 60 minutes, ridiculous.
Agreed. Cannot sit that deep. Enoch cannot be expected to close down their whole back four on his own. The bloke was clearly knackered and needed some help.
Just dissapointing to see us with 8 players in a line on the edge of our area, and letting them on to us. Some of them must be marking space rather than a man. Seems to have happened the last three home matches
Mind you we Taylor or Jennings could have both made it two nil but fluffed the chances.

Out of interest did the equaliser come directly from the needless and petty free-kick that Robinson gave away in front of our dugout?

Which came about from an abysmal piece of refereeing and linesmaning because it was an absolutely blaitent TRFC throw in.
Doesn't excuse the pointlessness of what he did though regardless of what went before!

I'd imagine Akpro could have reason to be pleased with himself, knowing the time it took to process his booking and the subsequant time to get the game restarted, could have added up to more than the extra time neded to sneak that goal, because with a free flowing last 14-15 minutes, Tranmere might have just been safe for the 3 points.
There must be some way to stop Labadie getting so many darn bookings as well, because it may sometimes cost the team points, when he's suspended and I think his inexcusable sending off behaviour some weeks back, is an extension of the behaviour that causes him to get booked.
I know players will get booked, but I do think he's getting more than is acceptable and he's a good player, so surely he can find a way to slightly refine his game, without turning him into a standoff player that sometimes bottles things, because he's under 21, so this shouldn't be one of those things where he'll never change and he'll be like Robbie Savage and Lee Bowyer were 10 years ago, he should be able to develop a more tough but fair attitude to certain circumstances.
I'm still trying to come to terms with what transpired, but overall the team by and large did well and there's enough evidence for me, to think, that Tranmere will rise up the table, especially when teams like Swindon and Plymouth and potentially Bristol Rovers continue to suffer.

But I suppose you could say the same about the time Dale Jennings took to come off when subbed as well Matt?
I agree about us sitting back and trying to defend our lead. Granted it worked against Southampton, but against Walsall & Rochdale (which lets be fair are neither the best teams in the league) we concede late goals and lose 4 points. Who decides to sit so deep. No-one on the halfway line for their corners which means there is no outlet. You could see what was going to happen

Why is Les Parry still in the job we need to move the club forwards and get rid.He has zero tactical knowledge and allows his players to sit back whilst the opposition attack all the time.He needs to movitate the players to work as a unit and keep their shape not leave gaps so players can just walk through on goal, ive seen better west cheshire sides who would hammer the rovers.
we are always on the back foot at home trying to defend no need at all for this! playing 1 striker alone up front at home is a joke he should play 4 4 2 like the olden days and make Prenton park a fortress again!!

I came away from the match last night angry which was frustrating because we had played so well.
I don't understand why we sit back so much and invite pressure. At corners we never leave anyone up so if we do get the ball clear, there's no one to ease the pressure. Its something that desperately needs to be worked on because its cost up 4 points and we can't afford to lose anymore.
On the other hand, our finishing was woeful at times. Enoch seems lacking in confidence and it showed last night and ash should just pass it to someone who can hit it because his finishing was truely dreadful. truth is we should have been home and dry with the amount of wasted chances. Seems we have solved one problem in creating them, now we need to sort out converting them.
On a side note, I thought rochdale were the best side I've seen this season.

The lack of fire power is why Moore will be missed. At the end of the season late leads conceded could cost us dearly.

ITM has scored 3 goals from open play, Enoch has hit the net more times than him from open play.
The players cost us the win, not Les. Ash Taylor really should have had a hatrick, he missed THREE clear cut chances, whilst Dale should never have missed that chance in the second half.

no the goal never come from the free kick gave away in there half it came from the other side of the pitch minuites later and if remember rightly it was throw in for us after gud hold up play by robbo which ref didnt give.thought he look dangerous when eva he got ball which is very limited in way we play.
I am furious with what happened. Dale was awful, never ran at his man, gave the ball away. I don't want to be too harsh on him though because he has won us games single hadnedly.
We have the better chances but you have to say on balance of play a draw was fair. They controlled the game to be honest, our chances came from their defensive mistakes.

Rather drop two points to Rochdale than anyone else. Good North-Western side.

Good call on that. That's actually a 50% total from 6 games.
By my past reckoning, 55% of total possible points for a season, would be enough to make the playoffs, so currently in the last 6 games, the team is achieving not far off that.
It's just a case of sustaining it and not having players fluff chances or throw games away like they did at Walsall.
Rochdale were a bit lucky, but Tranmere had enough chances and some playes need to address their use of footballing nous when in or around the goal.
By my past reckoning, 55% of total possible points for a season, would be enough to make the playoffs, so currently in the last 6 games, the team is achieving not far off that.

Spot on.The raelity is that dropping points in games that could have been won has put us in the relegation fight and will keep us there.March looks areally tough month and if we cannot pull clear in Feb I think that we will be in deep trouble
