All the pre-match team news and statistics ahead of Rover’s home game against Bournemouth. As both sides are without a win since mid September they will both be looking for a win. Tranmere are strengthened meanwhile by the return of Gareth Taylor and the loan signing of defender John Thompson.

Bournemouth travel to Prenton Park this Friday looking to end there terrible away form and generally bad form as they are without a win since September 9^th, Tranmere also haven’t won a league one game since September 16^th and need a win to stay at the top end of the table

 

After 15 games Rovers are 9th with Bournemouth 20^th.  Sitting just outside of the relegation spots.  A win could take Tranmere back into the top 6 but Bournemouth are looking to steer themselves clear of the relegation zone with a win against The Rovers

 

Tranmere where again punished for poor finishing against Carlisle last week but the return of influential target man Gareth Taylor is sure to help.  Bournemouth meanwhile lost 3-1 at home to Rotherham.

 

Bournemouth who have had a bad start to this campaign have only won 3 games and have drawn 7 times this year.  Tranmere who started well are on an awful run and need a win to re-ignite promotion hopes

 

Last year the two teams managed two 0-0 draws in a year which saw both sides struggling as Bournemouth finished just 1 place and 1 point ahead of Rovers.

 

Ronnie Moore’s men face a struggling Bournemouth side and lets hope the return of Gareth Taylor will help us get back on track.  Get behind the lads and enjoy the game!

An injury to Robbie Stockdale sees Nottingham Forrest defender John Thompson arrive in his place and he is likely to go straight into the rovers side.  Jason McAteer and John Mullin should both be available after they suffered from knee problems following the Carlisle game.  Meanwhile Kevin Ellison who was off injured ater 15 minutes last week faces a fitness test on an ankle injury

 

Bournemouth:

 

Striker Leon Best returns for Bournemouth after a suspension while defender Neil Young is doubtful.  Bournemouth are also missing Marcus Browning, Shaun Cooper, Eddie Howe and Karl Broadhurst.
