Despite missing two matches in the month, striker Chris Greenacre has snapped up the Total Tranmere Player of the Month Award for September ahead of fellow strike partner Gareth Taylor.

Despite missing two matches in the month, striker Chris Greenacre has snapped up the Total Tranmere Player of the Month Award for September ahead of fellow strike partner Gareth Taylor.

Last month’s winner Ian Goodison came in fifth behind Taylor. Gavin Ward and Chris Shuker, as well as Greenacre.

Greenacre is seen by many Rovers fans as the Club’s hardest working player and he finished second in last month’s awards.

For each match this season, each Rovers player will be marked out of ten for performance and these totals will be added together and averaged at the end of each month based on the number of games played that month.

A player has to have played at least 30 minutes of the game to get a score and a player must have played at least 50% of that month’s games to be in contention for the Player of the Month Award.
