All the News and Statistics ahead of Rovers’ visit to Millmoor to face Rotherham Utd in Coca-Cola League One on Tuesday as they look to make it five straight wins in the League and six unbeaten after last Tuesday’s 1-0 home win over Bristol City.

Coca-Cola League One at Millmoor

 

 

Rovers travel to Millmoor on Tuesday night to face Ronnie Moore’s former club Rotherham United in Coca-Cola League One.

 

The home side of course go into the game still needing three more points to get themselves out of the minus figures following their ten point deduction for entering administration over the summer whilst Rovers go into the game on the back of four straight League wins and are now five unbeaten in the League since they were defeated at Cheltenham back in August.

 

Away from home so far, Rovers have won one, drawn one and lost one and conceded just just one goal in the process.  The Millers have lost two of their home games and won one so far and will be looking to improve that record.

 

The Millers, under the Management of Alan Knill boast two former Rovers players in the shape of Ian Sharps and Delroy Facey whilst Rovers boast three former Rotherham players in Robbie Stockdale, John Mullin and Paul McLaren to give the match some added interest.

 

The last time the two sides met was at Millmoor earlier this season in a game that the home side won 2-0 thanks to two goals in five minutes from Butler and Shaw after Steve Wilson had earlier saved a harshly awarded penalty from Rotherham.

 

Earlier on last season, Tranmere had beaten Rotherham 3-2 at Prenton Park.  Despite going 1-0 behind to a 14^th minute Barker goal, Rovers rallied and lead 3-1 after 62 minutes thanks to Chris Greenacre, Calvin Zola and Danny Harrison.  Will Hoskins pulled a goal back for the Millers 13 minutes from time but it wasn’t enough as Rovers triumphed.

 

 

Rotherham Utd

 

The Millers will be without Michael Keane who is currently in dispute with the Club over team orders but Pablo Mills is likely to feature despite appearing in Court last week. 

 

Tranmere Rovers

 

Rovers are definitely without Danny Harrison (foot) and Calvin Zola (hamstring) whilst Jason McAteer is also doubtful with a cartilage problem.
