All the News and Statistics ahead of the visit of Leyton Orient to Prenton Park in Coca-Cola League One this Saturday as Rovers aim to maintain their 100% home record this season and also make it three League wins in a row after last weeks win at Chesterfield.

This Saturday sees Leyton Orient visit Prenton Park for the first time since 1990 as Tranmere look to maintain their 100% start to the new season at home but more importantly stretch their current run to three successive wins following a home victory over Yeovil and then last week’s excellent 2-0 away win at Chesterfield.

 

Orient have lost their last two League matches and also fell 3-0 at home to Championship side West Bromwich Albion in the first round of the Carling Cup last week but the London side find themselves in 15^th place in League One after five games, having accumulated six points so far with two early home wins.

 

The two sides have not met since the 1990/91 season when Orient’s trip to Prenton Park saw them lose 3-0 in the Old Division 3 but in the return game at Brisbane Road the Londoners got their revenge with a 4-0 drubbing of the Rovers.

 

Martin Ling’s side, promoted from League Two automatically last season will be looking to emulate the likes of Hull and Southend who have both seen back to back promotion’s take them out of League One in recent seasons but Orient’s away form so far does not look promising.

 

In two away trips, they have already shipped six goals whilst scoring just two and have failed to pick up points so far which compared with Rovers 100% home record seems promising for the home side.  However on the day anything can happen and Rovers will need to be on their guard to prevent an upset.

 

 

Tranmere Rovers: 

 

Rovers will once again definitely be without the services of Danny Harrison (ankle) and Calvin Zola (hamstring) for the visit of Leyton Orient to Prenton Park.

 

Strikers Gareth Taylor and Steve Davies have both suffered with knocks this week but both are expected to be fit for the game .

 

 

Leyton Orient: 

 

Orient have Justin Miller and John Mackie suspended for the visit to Tranmere but new signing Adam Chambers is available despite being sent-off in the Reserves in midweek.
