Becchio to Norwich in exchange for Morison..deal close

By Andy Baggott
January 30 2013

Lucianno Becchio is believed to be close to securing a move to Premiership Norwich, with their striker coming the other way.

Becchio rocked Leeds with a transfer request last week, and an exit for the Argentinian has been on the cards since.  Reports today suggest that Becchio has travelled to Norwich for talks and a medical, with Morison coming to Leeds to discuss terms.

Although stories this morning suggested Leeds would give Becchio and cash, it is thought to be the other way round, with Leeds receiving a payment as well as ex Millwall striker Morison.

Any deal will have to go through before the deadline which is 11.00 tomorrow night, and more deals are expected for Leeds before the transfer window closes..

think Morison is actually a better player than Becchio - may not score quite as many, but offers more going forward, and will open doors for McCormack...

I'm ok with this as long as Morison and McCormack are played together up top. I'd like to see Diouf dropped back into center mid as a playmaker.

Still need a winger.

When he played for Milscum against us he was always up for it. Worked his socks off, I for one will be pleased if he signs and isn't as rumoured 'injured. It's gone quiet regarding S Warnock though.

It all depends on how Warnock plays 'em. If we play football to feet, Morrison will be better. in fact Leeds will be better...

I'll be well impressed if this comes off.

Ross n Morison will tear this league up as a pair

Always felt Morison was a threat when we played Millwall. Sad to see Becchio go but for once we get a replacement who's as good. Just hope he settles quickly and is fit. Think we would have been light on real striking options if we hadn't replaced.

There could yet be a sting in the tail of this deal of course, it being Leeds. Hopefully no cash moving to Mustard-land.
