Leeds gave a second half masterclass to overcome a Scunthorpe, yet at half time, there was no clue that it was going to turn into such a stroll.  Leeds started well, and Howson's clever pass set up Gradel for a good finish. 

Instead of being the platform to build on, the vistors went into their shells, and the home side started to dominate, and it was no suprise they equalised from a set play.

The second half saw a slight change in tactics, with Jonny Howson pushed into a more advanced roll, and boy did it work.  The Morley born youngster scored the perfect hatrick in a devastating 15 spell - left foot, right foot and head.  It was the first hat trick of his professional career, and will give boss Simon Grayson food for thought when it comes to where to play him next time out.  The goals completely took the wind out of Scunny's tails, and the result was never in doubt.

There was also a good debut from on loan Andy O Brien as the defence attempted to put some recent lapses behind them.
