Leeds got their first point of the season, with a good draw at fancied Nottingham Forest. For the first 15 minutes though, it looked like a case of how many would the home side score, as they flew out of the traps. Leeds looked like raqbbits caught in the headlights, and it looked like a long afternoon for Simon Graysons men.

After Kasper Schmiechiel saved with his feet early on, it was no suprise when blackstock headed home well in the 9th minute.  It could have been worse minutes later, a good one two saw Earnshaw spin away and smash a half volley against the post.  At that stage, it was men against boys, and Leeds looked way out of their depth. 

Slowly though, they managed to get a foot hold in the game, helped by a slight change of formation from Grayson.  Lloyd Sam was looking dangerous, and should have had a penalty, but the ref (not for the last time) didn't see it that way.  With the game much more even now, Leeds did get level.  Bradley Johnson put in a superb cross following some poor play by the Forest defence, and Sam headed home from 8 yards.

The second half was run by Leeds, without creating too many chances.  Sanchez Watt headed Kilkennys corner wide, when he should have done better, and a Sam run created chaos in the Forest box.  Richard Naylor should have had a penalty as well after being dragged down, but the referee again seemed to miss it.

The game finished 1-1, and both sides are now on the board.  Forest will rue the fact they didn't score more in that opening period, whilst Leeds have shown that they can go to the home of one of the Championship favourites, and push them all the way...
