Leeds made hard work of the local derby match against rivals, Huddersfield Town on Saturday, grinding out a 2-2 draw but found themselves hanging on at times.

Huddersfield are fast becoming a bogey team for the Whites and always seem to raise their game at a time we take our foot off the pedal.  Saturdays clash was no different.

The game started well for Leeds who found themselves a goal up on 2 mins after Snodgrass smartly finished a keepers fumble but it was then Huddersfield that took control of the game.  Despite being the away side, they worked better as a unit and enjoyed long spells of possession whereas Leeds seemed to stand off and have little plan when on the ball. There were individual moments of great play but nothing cohesive.

Huddersfield hit the bar and were unlucky to go in losing at half time with Ankergren the busier of the two keepers.

The second half started with another goal, this time for Huddersfield which to be fair, had been coming since the 2nd minute and Leeds were left to try to counter attack.  In the 66th minute, Ankergren was again called to produce a fine save to his right and his quick clearance fell all the way through to Beckford and the Huddersfield keeper.  The two jumped and the ball fell loose to Gradel on the right who calmly fired home from a tight angle to give Leeds the lead.

It didn't last long though and on the 78th minute, Huddersfield again found the net to draw level.

In the closing stages, Huddersfield hit the bar but the points were shared at the final whistle.
