After a string of disappointing performances, Leeds gave an outstanding performance against Bristol to run out 4-0 winners but was this a resurgence of form, or a lucky result against a Bristol side that had lost their last three matches. The visit of Yeovil on Halloween would tell.

For the first 30 minutes, you could be forgiven for thinking it was lucky result.  Leeds, although playing well and battling hard, did not create a chance to speak of in open play with far too many touches in the final third and clever tricks and passes that would make Brazil look average if any of them worked - none of them did. 

Yeovil meanwhile were matching us for determination and had adopted a shoot on site tactic, that saw them have six efforts on goal, albeit largely long range one's, against one free kick for the Whites.   Yeovil also forced the save of the match from Ankergren, still covering for the injured Higgs.  The crowd, in fine voice for the first 10 minutes saw nothing to sing about on the pitch as Leeds failed to find any flair to set the game alight.

It did come though, towards the end of the first half when a Bradley Johnson cross bounced just in front of the near post between the stretching Beckford and the Yeovil keeper.  Beckford did just enough to put the keeper off and the ball bounced in and was originally attributed with the goal, rectified at Half-Time to confirm he never got a touch and it was Johnsons goal.

Into the second half then and Yeovil again came out to attack but it was Leeds that got into their stride.  Grayson made a tactical change, bringing on the exciting Leicester loanee, Gradel and Kilkenny for Doyle and Hughes and from that point, Leeds never looked liked losing.

Gradel started out causing the problems we now know he can and produced several moments of danger.  His outswinging crosses into the box caused no end of problems for Yeovil and it wasn't longer before he cut inside at the edge of the box and fired a low shot into the far corner to make it 2-0.

Leeds were on top now with Vokes setting up a lot of play on the edge of the area and could have had several more but it was left for Beckford to make it 3 on the 78th minute.That goal saw him replaced by Kandol and the large striker, enjoying a resurgence of popularity with the Leeds fans, headed home within 3 minutes to make it 4-0.

The result saw Leeds move 7 points clear at the top of the table.
