Makin on verge of signing for Royals

Former Sunderland,Ipswich Town and Leicester City full back Chris Makin looks set to sign for Reading subject to passing a medical.The 32 year old will provide cover at full back.Also agreeing terms is Brynjar Gunnarsson and the Icelandic midfielder will undergo a medical tomorrow. New Page 1

READING CLOSING IN ON MAKIN

Reading are set to make there 2nd signing of the day by completing the free transfer swoop of former Sunderland, Ipswich Town and Leicester City full back Chris Makin on a free transfer.

The 32 year old has been out on a free transfer since leaving Leicester City and now looks set to join fellow new recruit Brynjar Gunnarsson who has agreed terms this evening with the club.

Both player will take medicals at the Madejski Stadium tomorrow. Nothing has been confirmed as to if the players will fly out to Sweden along with the first team squad.
