FORSTER SET TO LEAVE

Fozzy who has missed large chunks of the last two seasons is unlikely to have any problem finding another club with Stoke City and Sheffield United already lining up a move for the player. There has also been interest from former club Brentford though it is unlikely Forster will want to drop down a division.

Forster joined Reading 1999 from Birmingham City for a fee of £650,000, it was one of Tommy Burns better signings and since then Forster has gone on to spend six years at the Madejski Stadium enjoying many memorable moments and scoring a number of stunning goal such as Preston away in 2000, Wolves away in the Play-Off's, his stunning strike in the fabulous 2:1 away victory at Sheffield United in the 03/04 season and his last ever Reading goal in the 2:1 home defeat to Wolves.

Although Reading fans are sure to remember him for his exploits in the second leg of the Division Two Play-Offs against Wigan Athletic when he came off the bench to cause havoc in the Latics defence and set up one goal and score another in the last five minutes to send Reading through to the final only to miss out to Walsall.

At his best Forster was untouchable with his pace and trickery but it was unfortunate Reading supporters saw only little flashes of his ability in his final couple of years at the club as the player struggled to overcome a stomach injury.

It is almost certain Steve Coppell will bring in at least one more striker with Leroy Lita still strongly linked with the club to join Kevin Doyle and Shane Long who joined The Royals yesterday from Cork City.
