Steve Coppell has a fully fit squad to choose from for the trip to Wales. Ricky Newman is fine after receiving stitches in last Saturdays game against Nottingham Forest for a head injury and will be hoping to keep hold of his place in the team.

The manager will have to decide whether or not to again leave Ivar Ingimarsson on the bench or bring the Icelander back into the starting line-up and replace either Ibrahima Sonko or Martin Keown.

Upfront Coppell could stick with the pairing of Dave Kitson and Nicky Forster or bring Les Ferdinand into the fold after the former England International making an impact when coming on from the bench in the last three games.

Lennie Lawrence's Cardiff City are fighting for their Championship status and Lawrence is expected to make changes from the team that drew in the week away at Leicester City. Young starlet Joe Ledley could be given a recall to the starting line-up. Paul Parry has returned to full fitness although the ex Hereford midfielder may have to settle for a place on the bench. Striker Alan Lee looks set to be on the bench. It was confirmed this week that Lee's former side, Rotherham United will not attempt to resign the player this season after Lee's move to Cardiff has failed to work out.

FORM GUIDE

Reading have won their last three games in a row lifting The Royals into the Play-Off places. Although Reading will have a fight to stay there as West Ham lie just one point behind after beating Stoke City away on Tuesday.

Cardiff City have been near the bottom of the table for most of the season and currently lie 20th in the table just a point above the drop zone. The Bluebirds have not won in their previous three league games with their last win coming away at Stoke City where City recorded a 3:1 win.
