COPPELL PONDERING CHANGES

The Royals have only won 1 league game since Boxing Day and are in desperate need of a win ahead of a 12 day break because of the International calendar.

Coppell could take a risk on the fitness of Les Ferdinand and Martin Keown who have so far proved to be bad signings.

Speaking on Keown, he said;

"He's keen to get involved, that's what you want but apart from 30 seconds of madness the defence overall did alright."

Speaking on Ferdinand, the former Palace Manager said;

"Les has got an outside chance, although we don't want to get back to the quandry we've had since he joined."

"He needs strength work on one side of the body, we want him to be able to be fully committed."

1 player who definitely won't be featuring is Bobby Convey. The young American winger hasn't featured for a couple of months now and the winger is currently in America for a friendly against Honduras tonight. Coppell said;

"He's not really pushing for a place at the moment, so we felt he was better off with the national team, it's competitive and also it helps keep up his international ratio."
