Skipper Graeme Murty is set to miss out due to an ankle injury, Andy Hughes would seem likely to move to right back and Ricky Newman is an option.

This would leave a bit of room for change in the midfield. James Harper could return and both Paul Brooker and Glenn Little could play on the wings.

Les Ferdinand will be hoping to start against his old club and Dave Kitson should partner him; Nicky Forster has been deemed to be unable to play due to his mind being on the possibility of a move away from the Madejski that he apparently does not even want. Therefore, Steve Coppell despite saying he just wants goals from Forster is not including him in the squad.

Keeper Marcus Hahnemann should be fine for tomorrow's game but new signing Marin Keown is still sidelined by injury.

For QPR Lee Cook returns and goalkeeper Generoso Rossi is in the squad for the first time, but defender Matthew Rose is likely to be out with injury. Other than that Ian Holloway has no other injury problems ahead of tomorrow's game.

Yellow cards will no longer mean suspension when a players tally hits five due to the amnesty as we enter the final period of the season. This affects both Dave Kitson and James Harper who are both on four bookings each.

FORM GUIDE

Reading obviously require a win if they are to keep their play-off hopes alive, as the longer they leave it the harder it will be to get back into the top six. Without a win for so long the team's morale must be a little low, however the players will want to win back the appreciation of the fans after some sections of the crowd booed the team off after another dismal performance against Leicester last week.

QPR will be looking to consolidate their mid-table position and some fans may even secretly harbour hopes of a charge up to the play-offs if they can construct another run like their winning streak earlier this season.

Rangers are now well in the clear as far as relegation goes and will be looking to show what they can do against Reading having lost in their trip to Berkshire earlier this season.

Reading will be backed with their largest away following of the season so far. Around 2,500 tickets have been snapped up for the game with 400 tickets left. These 400 remaining tickets will be available from Loftus Road on the day at the same prices as they were in advance.
