TEAM NEWS

Les Ferdinand could return to the starting line-up after recovering from a groin injury. While it remains unclear whether fellow striker Nicky Forster will have a part to play in the game after not being included in the 16 man squad which drew with Crewe on Tuesday.

Graeme Murty will almost certainly start after not suffering any ill effects of his troublesome knee. Central defender Martin Keown looks set to miss another match with his injury and is hoping to return for Reading's away trip to QPR next Saturday.

Leicester have concerns over defender Alan Maybury, Joey Gudjonsson, Dion Dublin and Jordan Stewart. Although City manager, Craig Levein is hopeful all four will recover in time but has most doubts over ex Royal Maybury. If Maybury fails to overcome his injury then Peter Canero is likely to deputise.

Jason Wilcox, Lee Morris and Nathan Blake are all defiantly out with long term injuries for the Foxes.

FORM GUIDE

With no win in the league in 2005 Reading now lie just outside the Play-Offs with a win a must this weekend to stay in the hunt. The Royals last game saw a point materialise away at Crewe's Gresty Road. Reading will be looking for a better home performance then the last one after relegation strugglers Coventry took all three points after battling from behind to win 2:1.

Leicester City continue to be inconsistent but are making good progress in the FA Cup after knocking out Reading in Round Three and then conquering Charlton away in Round Four. However the Foxes have lost their last two league games away at Stoke City and Ipswich Town and lie in 18th position in the league.
