Graeme Murty will return for the Royals, whilst new signing Les Ferdinand will not be able to play due to injury.

With Murty's return it remains to be seen who will be on the left side of midfield as Andy Hughes is rarely left out and Glen Little is likely to play on the right against his former club. In this case Bobby Convey and Paul Brooker will sit on the bench - although Convey did impress many watching the game against Swansea last week. Against Championship opposition though Steve Coppell may prefer to keep Andy Hughes in the starting eleven. Brooker might also be in with a chance of starting on the left.

With Dave Kitson out for even longer and Les Ferdinand also this will mean a front two from Nicky Forster, Lloyd Owusu and Dean Morgan. Coppell will be keen for Forster to get back on the goal trail after injury and Lloyd Owusu has seen the most action as a striker out of himself and Morgan. However Owusu and Forster haven't scored in four games - Morgan might be in with a shout having recovered from a knock earlier in the week.

Steve Cotterill has Micah Hyde suspended and Michael Duff is a doubt in defence. Chaplow and Roche are set to be the ones to benefit from these absences.

Keeper Danny Coyne has recovered from injury as has winger Jean Louis Valois.

Reading have not been at the top of their game recently and as much has been admitted by Steve Coppell. Much of it seems to have been put down to the absence of leading scorer Dave Kitson.

Now they travel to Turf Moor where Burnley have gone from boring draw machines to a run of six wins in eight league matches. This can be put down to new manager Steve Cotterill who has now added to the strength in defence that he instilled in the team when he arrived and turned Burnley into a team that can win games as well as draw.

The Royals have not seen a win in four games.
