Andre Boucaud is relieved at leaving The Royals after being frustrated at his lack of first team chances at the Madejski Stadium. He is also said to be happy with joining back up with Barry Fry's Peterborough United after previously having a successful loan spell at the club.

Andre Boucaud signed a two year Contract at "The Posh" and is delighted at the move to Peterborough and the chance to play regular first team football.

He told the Official Peterborough Website, "I was just glad to get out of Reading to be honest and this represents a fresh start for me. I am delighted to sign for Peterborough" and he went on to say "I am still young and first team football is very important at my age."

The player who was widely tipped to become a first team regular in future years never got the crack at first team football and fell down the pecking order with Steve Sidwell, James Harper, Kevin Watson, Andy Hughes and Ricky Newman all in front of him. With his contract running out at the end of this campaign manager, Steve Coppell did not decide to offer the youngster another contract and that's when Barry Fry upped his interest in the player.

Many fans may not understand why the club are letting go a talented player leave The Royals, especially on a free and fans will be hoping that other good young players who come through the Reading Academy don't see there chances of first team football blocked.

Barry Fry was more the happy with his first summer signing stating "Andre Boucaud is an outstanding talent. I am rather surprised and absolutely delighted that I have managed to sign him on a free transfer."
