Despite an early scare, Manchester United secured safe passage into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a comfortable 3-0 victory against Cambridge United in the Old Trafford replay.
Tom Elliott burst through in the early stages but hit a one-on-one shot against the post, as Cambridge came agonisingly close to taking a shock lead in a game delayed by 20 minutes due to traffic congestion.
As most of Old Trafford let out a sigh of relief, the Red Devils started to gain control of the game and broke the deadlock on 25 minutes as Juan Mata Garcia fired home.
Hopes of a Cambridge upset looked over minutes later as Marcos Rojo's header doubled the advantage, before James Wilson added to his burgeoning reputation with the third as United kicked-off the shortest month of the year with a comfortable Cup triumph.
The result takes United a step closer to Wembley, with Preston North End awaiting for an all-Lancashire fifth round clash.
