Let's get the positives out of the way - Manchester United are still in the FA Cup, and the competition counts in Telegraph Fantasy Football, so I get clean sheet points for David De Gea.

Beyond that, there was little to smile about for the travelling Red Army as League Two outfit Cambridge United secured a replay at Old Trafford with a goalless draw.

Despite being 76 places behind their visitors in the English football pyramid, Cambridge United produced a determined, dogged display at a packed Abbey Stadium.

U's 'keeper Chris Dunn produced a very impressive performance, with Radamel Falcao among those denied by the stopper's heroics, but this was not a lucky result for the Cambridgeshire club.
 
The hosts had a handful of chances to break the deadlock, with Josh Coulson nodding a header onto the roof of the net with United scrambling in defence.

Almost 8,000 watched as the side recently promoted from the Conference secured a famous evening. Hopefully, many of those fans will return for more bread and butter fixtures - and, on the basis of this performance, their players deserve no less.

United will be big favourites for the replay - and at least we remain in a competition which should carry for the monumental importance for the football club this and every other season.
