An away win thanks to a goal by Steve Thompson keeps the play off dream alive, especially as Preston lost and Wolves drew. Some woeful finishing by Cardiff in the first half and Plymouth in the second half ensured the game didn't end up 4-3 to Cardiff which would have been a fair reflection!
The Bluebirds deserved to win but the game should have been over as a contest in the first half! Camerone Jerome was guilty of propbably the worst miss I have ever seen in 30 years, my 75 year old mother wouyld have buried it! Other chances went begging before Thommo scored just after half an hour.
In the second half the home team raised their game on a bitterly cold but bright afternoon in Devon. However the Bluebirds defence remained intact and the three valuable points were secured.
Five supporters coaches had a Police escort that would have done justice to a US Presidential cavalcade - it also delayed my short trip to Torquay where I spent Saturday night. It appears that some others did too.
The crows was 13,494 with about 800 from Cardiff, plus at least one (me) sat with some home supporters!
