This site normally restricts itself to matters concerning Cardiff City, but after watching the most inept performance I have ever seen from a home international side comment must be made...

Full credit to Toshack for his honesty. Wales could and should have lost by five goals he said, and the facts bear this out.

Everybody beats Cyprus, but Wales didn't just lose they were comprehensively outplayed and only poor finishing by the Cypriots prevented the scoreline beaing truly embarassing. It took Wales 85 minutes to get a shot in the direction of their opponents goal and that effort was off target from Robert Earnshaw.

Todays Western Mail generously gave players 4 and 5 out of ten. To a men with the exception of the goalie they were dreadful. I feel sorry for the fans who made the 5 hour plane trip, hope they enjoyed the island otherwise.

It might shut up the fans who chant England is full of ****, because nothing was ever closer to that than this performance....

Absolute rubbish.
