SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY v CARDIFF CITY 9th NOV. Live on Sky TV. From memory I believe the bluebirds seem to play better when they are away from home on SKY rather than at home. The Leeds Cup game being the exception, however that's history lets looks forward...

The Championship division is closer than it's been for years, and you only have to look at City's position to see that whilst a win on Wenesday would put them in 5th position ( yes 5th ) at themoment we are closer on points to Brighton at the bottom than Sheffield Utd at the top! Two or three consecutive defeats or wins can have a team shooting down or up the table.

Sheffield Wednesday are the big club many Cardiff fans think the bluebirds are, but lets be fair the Owls get 25,000 turning up to watch whatever the state of their team. Cardiff can only dream of getting crowds like that whatever the boys from the valleys will tell you.

The men from Hillsborough are improving and slowly getting away from the bottom of the table, and the game on Wednesday will be interesting and tight fought.

Cardiff are hard to score against but are finding it difficult to score themselves, and the heavier pitches are making things trickier for young Cameron Jerome up front.  David Jones is confident goals will come lets hope he's right, because it's no use winning 6-1 then failing to score in the next four! I'd rather see a more even spread of goals across the fixtures...

After losing on the road to the canaries let us hope we can fly past the owls in another of the bird games....
