Cardiff's 3rd choice goalkeeper, Lee Kendall has joined 3rd Division, Shrewsbury Town on trial. Kendall has only made one first team appearance for the Bluebirds.
City's 3rd choice goalkeeper, Lee Kendall has joined Shrewsbury Town on a pre-season trial. The trial deal will last for 3 of Shrewbury's pre-season friendly games.
The youngster has made just one first-team appearances for the Bluebirds since signing from Crystal Palace for £50,000, which was in the LDV Vans Trophy First Round, when Cardiff hammered Rushden & Diamonds 7-1.
The Shrews are currently after a new 'keeper, and if manager, Kevin Ratcliffe likes the look of Kendall, he may make a permanent move to Shrewsbury.
Kendall has played for Crystal Palace, and Barry Town (loan) previously, and was said to be a hot prospect for the future, but Lennie Lawrence is under pressure to reduce the size of the squad, and it would not be surprising to see Kendall leaving Ninian Park this season.
Kendall is expected to be in Shrewsbury's squad for their pre-season friendly fixture with Everton.
Best of luck to Lee on his trial!
