Many years ago we came back from 0-2 down at home to Wolves to snatch a draw. On Staurday the reverse happened and it felt like a defeat. It was a very disappointing end to a match which had started so brightly.

In the August sunshine Cardiff City took on Wolverhampton Wanderers in front of a very poor crowd of just over 11,000. Thankfully the away end was full, but it does speak volumes when the visit of a big name cannot get 10,000 home fans through the turnstiles. The break even figure is apparently 13,000 and we are not getting anyehere near that figure at the moment, however back to the match....

Inside three minutes Cardiff were one nil ahead with another goal from Camerone Jerome ( who else!? ) nestling in the Grange End net after a close range header. Wolves were not put off their game though and throughout the first half played the better foootball however they were devoid of ideas in the final quarter and went in trailing by the early goal.

It got better and better after less than 5 minutes of the second period, the boy Jerome scored with a hard hit shot to make it two nil and the small crowd were now really enjoying themselves looking forward to three points and another big scalp. However it was not to be as defensive frailties and Wolves' shear persistence paid off with goals from Clarke after 73 minutes and Lescott on 90 minutes gave the boys from the Midlands a well deserved point but it was a real kick in the teeth for the home fans...
