Bluebirds wing Jobi McAnuff is confident that City can pick up three points at Elland Road on Saturday, which would further relieve the relegation pressure at the club. The former Wimbledon MK midfielder believes the team have the ability to comfortably stay in the Football League Championship.

Jobi McAnuff is confident the Bluebirds can pick up three points against rivals Leeds United on Saturday. A pick-up in form has seen the players find a boost of morale as the battle against relegation from the Football League Championship continues, and everyone at the club heads into this Elland Road fixture with a positive attitude.

"We're only four points above the drop zone, but that's a lot more space than there has been," McAnuff said.

McAnuff played for Leeds as a youth player before moving onto Wimbledon and then West Ham United prior to becoming a Bluebird. The Jamaican international is likely to feature on the right side of the midfield against the Whites, and will be looking for another inspirational performance against a former club. McAnuff was awesome when West Ham came to Ninian Park earlier in the season.

"We've now got to look to get up into the next bunch and Leeds are one of those teams in the pack. If we can get a good result against them, then it gives us that little bit more space and gets us into the pack. We are capable of that."

Saturday's game is massive for the Bluebirds. A Cardiff City win could propel us 7 points clear of the dreaded drop zone, but defeat could put us back to within a point of the red zone. The F.A Cup encounter of 2002 has, of course, helped in the momentous build-up to this fixture and excitement is as high in South Yorkshire as in South Wales.
