Prior signs for Southend

Former City defender Spencer Prior has signed a two-year deal with League Two side Southend United.

Prior rejoins the Shrimps 11 years after leaving them in favour of Norwich. He made 135 league appearances for Southend in the early 90’s.

Speaking on the United official website, Prior said: "I want to be part of something big down here again. I left to progress my career and now I have achieved what I wanted, I want the players here to taste that same achievement.

"I want to help get the club out of the division it is in and get it into the division it deserves to be in which is higher than at the moment."

Good luck to Prior, who never gave less than 100% for City.
