Richard Langley could miss at least one of the Bluebirds' opening Football League matches due to international commitments. The Cardiff City midfielder is likely to be representing Jamaica in the World Cup qualification matches in August and September.

Cardiff City midfielder Richard Langley is likely to miss one of Cardiff City's early Football League games due to his country competing in a long-winded CONACAF World Cup qualifying campaign. Should the Jamaican international be called up for duty for his country then he could miss at least one Bluebirds fixture.

Jamaica take on the United States of America on August 18th, with the date falling between City's home fixture against newly-promoted Devon outfit Plymouth Argyle and the visit to Portman Road to face promotion-chasing Ipswich Town. International duty has yet to really disrupt Langley's Cardiff City career, but the World Cup qualification matches could cause the winger to miss several games.

Jamaica go onto play Panama and El Salvador in quick succession in September, before going onto face all three nations again as they aim to book their place in Germany for the 2006 World Cups. The presence of the Reggae Boys at all major tournaments is certainly exciting, and the antics of their fans at the 1998 World Cup in France live long in the memory!
