With all the football eyes looking towards Euro 2004, we keep a Bluebird eye on transfer speculation over recent days.................

Speculation regarding Robert Earnshaw continues to dominate, with him linked with half the clubs in the Premiership. Fulham and their Welsh manager Chris Coleman are the latest to have expressed interest.

 

Millwall’s goalkeeper Tony Warner is on the Bluebirds wanted list. With Neil Alexander's wanting to stay with the club, and Martyn Margetson ( Welsh international ) now first choice, the “custodians” position could be crowded next season! Robert Page of Sheffield United (centre-back) is also on the wanted list, and with Palace’s Tony Popovic set for the Premiership a new signing in this position seems urgent especially with Spencer Prior on his way. The 30-year-old Page was released by Sheffield United and is available on a free which would fit in with Sam’s tight wallet.

 

Lincoln City’s Ben Futcher is a player Lawrence has expressed interest in. He has been granted a transfer by the Red Imps. But there is  competition for his signature with Bolton Wanderers, Derby County and Hull City all monitoring the position.

 

Danny Tiatto  is now available on a free transfer having been released by Kevin Keegan at Manchester City. The Bluebirds have it is rumoured had the Australian watched...
