Lennie Lawrence fielded a mixed bag of players in City's final first team friendly before the League campaign starts on Saturday. Maxwell was the star with Danny Byrne on the scoresheer. The man with the funny name - Nordin Wooter - the former Ajax of Amsterdam player, made his debut for the Bluebirds in last night's 3-1 defeat against Forest Green Rovers, from the Conference.

Martin Foster and Steve Jenkins put FGR 2-0 ahead before City trialist Michael Byrne scored for City, heading home from a Bowen cross.

FRG completed a good victory against a weak City side, in the last minute with a goal from O'Halloran.

Bluebirds midfielder Layton Maxwell was the star for the visitors, in what was a disappointing evening.
