Peter Thorne and John Robinson will both miss City's pre-season tour of Scandinavia after picking up injuries. This means the squad making the trip is down to 20, with Arran-Lee Barret becoming a late addition.

Thorne and Robinson to Miss Tour
Peter Thorne and new signing John Robinson will both miss City's pre-season tour of Scandinavia through injury.

Welsh international John Robinson has a sore knee, and Peter Thorne has an injured foot.

"This is a real blow at a crucial point in our preparations for the new season," said City boss Lennie Lawrence.

"We are hopeful that the injuries are not serious and that they will respond to treatment in Cardiff."

Third choice 'keeper Arran Lee Barrett has been added to the party, to provide extra back-up between the sticks.

This takes means City will now take 20 players to Scandinavia for the tour.

With the absence of Peter Thorne and John Robinson, and the inclusion of Arran Lee-Barret, the touring squad is now as follows:

Neil Alexander
Martyn Margetson
Arran Lee-Barret
Rhys Weston
James Collins
Gary Croft
Chris Barker
Danny Gabbidon
Tony Vidmar
Layton Maxwell
Jason Bowen
Willie Boland
Mark Bonner
Gareth Whalley
Graham Kavanagh
Gavin Gordon
Andrew Campbell
Robert Earnshaw
Stuart Fleetwood

City kick-off the tour on Saturday against Koge BK.

Bluebird to the Bone would like to wish all players and staff a safe trip, and wish them good luck for the tour.
