Former Chelsea and England Under-21 international Jody Morris has been in talks with City over a possible move to Ninian Park. The midfielder made over 170 appearances for Chelsea before being released at the end of last season, and would undoubtedly be an excellent acquisition for the Bluebirds.

is looking likely to be City's next signing. The 24-year-old was released by Chelsea at the end of last season, and has already been to Cardiff for talks with City owner Sam Hammam over a possible deal. Morris has been strongly linked with Portsmouth, Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham since leaving Stamford Bridge, but the offer of first team football at Ninian Park seems to be making City favourites to obtain the players signature. "It looks like Cardiff at the moment. We are in advanced talks with them and it will be this week for Jody one way or the other." said Morris' agent John Barnett. "Jody has had several good meetings with Cardiff, and we are impressed with what they have to offer" Morris has made over 170 appearances for Chelsea, and would bring a touch of class to the City midfield. |
