Portsmouth Reserves 4-0 Cardiff City Reserves

An experienced Portsmouth reserved side cruised to a 4-0 victory against the Bluebirds at Fratton Park yesterday. The Pompey second string side who included former England international, Steve Stone were far to strong for Cardiff and now go just 7 points behind current Reserve League Leaders Crystal Palace, with a game in hand.

Two goals from Vincent Pericard and further strikes from Courtney Pitt, and former Cardiff City striker, Deon Burton gave Portsmouth the easy victory.

It was a disappointing display from Cardiff, with Jason Bowen the only shining light in a dull performance. Bowen did his first chance hopes some good creating most of City's few chances.

The Bluebirds have now dropped to 13th in the table, currently on 24 points from 18 games.

Cardiff City Line-Up - Walton, Williams, Huggins, Jordon, Collins, Maxwell, Fish, Giles, Bowen, Fortune-West, Thomas.
